COLOMBIA: The Birdiest Place in the World - The Santa Marta Mountains & Guajira Peninsula - Jan. 25-Feb. 2, 2025
Coming in Winter 2025: two experiences in Colombia, the country with the highest bird biodiversity on the planet, with almost 2,000 species! This trip will explore the northern part of the country, from the isolated and unique Santa Marta Mountains (these ‘islands’ of habitat are the highest mountains in Colombia, with the highest level of bird endemism in the world!); to the remote Guajira Peninsula, a dry forest savannah home to many unique species and beautiful coastal areas along the Colombian Caribbean; to Tayrona National Park, home to rainforest and Caribbean coastal forest.
