Brooklyn Birding Hotspots: Green-Wood Cemetery

Explore various sites around Brooklyn to learn more about the borough and its avian visitors and residents. Walks will visit the Salt Marsh Nature Center in Marine Park, Prospect Park, Green-Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn Bridge Park, and more. Discover fascinating facts about history and ecology along with practical bird identification tips.

On this outing, we’ll visit Brooklyn’s historic Green-Wood Cemetery, which is NYC’s original green space, predating both Prospect and Central Park. The cemetery is beautiful and home to many birds, including a resident community of Monk Parakeets, temperate parrots from South America that are thriving in Brooklyn.

Groups limited to 12 people. Bring binoculars if you have them. Register for the whole series or just one walk.
