Jamaica Bay Summer Shorebirds & More

Sunday, August 7, 9am-1:30pm

Guide: Gabriel Willow

Meet at the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge and search the mudflats and ponds of Jamaica Bay (the NYC locale with the most recorded species of birds) for breeding herons and egrets, Forster's and Common Terns, Clapper Rail, and American Oystercatcher, as well as the many migratory plovers and sandpipers that will already be headed south. Bring water, snacks, and shoes you don't mind getting muddy. $40 for NYC Audubon members, $50 for non-members. Limited to 15 people.
