Attributed to the 14th-century Parisian illuminator Jean Le Noir, The Prayer Book of Bonne of Luxembourg, Duchess of Normandy is famed for its captivating imagery, including dozens of identifiable bird species which decorate its margins. Join Griffith Mann, Michel David-Weill Curator in Charge of the Department of Medieval Art and The Cloisters, and bird expert Gabriel Willow for a close look at the manuscript, its lively depictions of birds, and the connections it reveals between medieval art and the natural world.
